CONDITION

We aim to keep our products in good condition. When they are returned, we inspect them and make any necessary repairs. While we have done our best to accurately capture them in our photos, we recommend getting in touch if something precise is needed for your shoot.

 

LOSS & DAMAGE

We do not charge a loss and damage waiver fee up front, but you are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to goods from the time of collection until their return. It is the hirers responsibility to notify us immediately of any loss or damage. 

Repairs for damaged items will be charged at cost price plus the time which the item are taken out of circulation. Any lost items or items damaged beyond repair will be charged for at current retail value.

 

RENTAL TERM

All rentals are hired for a minimum 7-day period, a 5% per week discount is automatically applied each week thereafter.

You can book a hire for up to 1 month on our website. Any period longer than 1 month can be arranged by contacting us directly.

 

SENSITIVE / HIGH RISK ITEMS

Some items in our collection are considered sensitive or high risk - for these items, as a security measure, we will require photo ID prior to hire. This has been noted on the individual product page. Photo ID will be deleted from our system when the item is returned in full. 

 

ORDERING / PICK UP / DELIVERY / RETURNS

Items can be collected and returned between 9am - 4pm from Melbourne Screen Hub, 99 Moreland St, Footscray, Vic, 3011. For site access, please press the doorbell button on the gate keypad. When exiting, drive up close to the gate to trigger it to open automatically.

48 hours notice is required on all orders unless otherwise organised with Ash or Liv. Please note a Rush Fee may be applied for orders required within the 48 hour pick up period. Our Rush Fee is a minimum $30 + GST or 10% of the total hire fee (whatever is greater). If the items you are after cannot be booked on your chosen date, this may be due to the 48 hour hire window, feel free to call or email to check if we can manually process the order earlier for you. 

For large items please get in contact to organise a suitable time for collection, unfortunately we are not always on site so please allow for this when ordering.

We can arrange for delivery via post or courier, to organise this please select 'Quote for Shipping' at checkout if the shipping fee does not automatically pre-populate & we will be in contact via email. Please remember to include postage time within your hire period. The 48 hour pick up period applies also to items being posted, your item will be posted no later than 48 working hours from ordering. 

All rentals are packaged and wrapped for pick up/delivery, upon return, please make sure that rental items are returned and wrapped as they came. 

 

PAYMENT 

We accept all credit cards & PayPal - if you require another payment method please contact us at contact@thepropcollective.com.au

If paying by Bank Transfer / Direct Deposit a valid Purchase Order (PO) must be issued by the Production Company prior to collection or delivery of any goods. Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue.

 

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Hire Orders

Refunds are not available once your order is completed or the hire has left our premises.

Cancellations less than 48 hours before pick-up/postage incur a 20% fee.

Cancellations less than 24 hours before pick-up/postage incur a 50% fee.

Purchases

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted.

If a product is faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will happily organise a replacement or refund in line with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

For shipped returns, return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty.

PURCHASES 

Find items for purchase on our Expendables page. Check back often, as we are constantly adding new items to our page. In certain cases, we may consider selling rental items.

 

BUDGET 

If you have a budget limitation, let us know and we will work with you to reach a solution. All requests must be submitted over the phone or via email, prior to placing order.

 

OTHER 

Alterations such as painting, re-upholstery, distressing, cutting, or modification of any kind may only be carried out with prior written approval from the The Prop Collective. 

If alterations are approved, the Production Company must ensure the work is carried out professionally and that items are returned in a condition approved by The Prop Collective.
